World Cement
Bolivia is a state-run cement producer who has planned a
clinker plant with a capacity of 3000 tpd.
Plant description
Due to the maintenance friendly and energy efficient
equipment, the customer decided to select a machine
from the PACPAL product group. Furthermore, an
optimal plant arrangement, which requires low space
for the packing and palletiser building, was important
for the client. The product feeding is carried out directly
from the cement silos via an aeroslide system into the
pre-bin of the packer that is located at ground floor level
to reduce the overall height of the building. A bucket
elevator, a vibrating screen and a suitable conveying
screw carrry out the material feeding. The flow control
gates were designed and dimensioned accordingly.
In case of alternating packing capacities these can
quickly be compensated for and the reliability of the
required weighing accuracy and the total capacity is not
influenced at all.
A main focus was also placed on the automatic
bag applicator. A uniform and accurate ‘shot accuracy’
guarantees a reliable process that has an important
influence on the complete
performance. An essential part of
the plant is the PACPAL palletiser
type 5000. The bag handling is
carried out in a low-wear and
energy efficient manner due to
the optimal plant concept. The
bag stream is hereto divided via
a suitable distribution belt and
fed to the palletising head in
separate tracks. The bag layers
formed separately increase the
total capacity of the palletiser
considerably and ensure at the
same time a ‘gentle’ handling
of the bags and transport belts.
Consequently, the wear of the
components can be reduced which
leads to an increased reliability of
the overall plant.
Furthermore, the
Claudius Peters PACPAL palletisers
have a modular design. A later
modification of the layout or/and
enlargement to one pallet feeding
with additional pallet storage
space is no problem and increases
the flexibility of the packing and
palletising plant decisively. A later
installation of such systems is
possible at any time.
Detailed scope of supply
The Claudius Peters scope of supply
comprises of the following main
equipment:
l
Product feeding to the packing plant by means of a
bucket elevator and a conveying screw system.
l
Cement screening by means of a vibrating screen.
l
The rotary feeder, Claudius Peters PACPAL Roto Fill
with 12 filling modules for a capacity of 3600 bph.
l
The automatic bag applicator with a cassette
magazine of 5 m length and approximately 1125
bags.
l
The bag handling with check weigher consisting of
bag discharge belt, bag cleaning, alignment belt and
check weigher with bag rejection, bag cutter and
drum screen to separate cement and bag paper.
l
The spillage return transport consisting of two trough
screw conveyors.
l
The palletiser Claudius Peters PACPAL Palletiser
5000 for 3600 bph with a slip sheet system for the
handling of palletless packages.
l
Two package removal units are planned for the high
capacity.
l
The big bag filling station for one loop big bags with
a weight of 500 kg up to 2000 kg per big bag.
l
A control system made by Rockwell will be utilised.
