Introduction
Welcome to Music City and the 60
th
annual IEEE-IAS/PCA Cement
Industry Conference. We are excited to present our industry’s leading
technical conference in Nashville and at the extraordinary Gaylord
Opryland Resort and Convention Center.
As in years past, Tuesday and Wednesday of the conference offer
the technical papers and panel discussions led by industry producers
and vendors. The IEEE-IAS Cement Industry Committee (CIC) and
authors have worked diligently to deliver this year’s carefully vetted,
peer-reviewed technical sessions, which include 27 papers and three
panel discussions. In addition, the CIC will present professional
development training, a MSHA Recertification Course, and a series
of training sessions covering topics within the cement production
process over the Monday and Tuesday of the conference. This
popular programme offers a myriad of cement process/production
topics and is presented by Peter Paone, Ove Lars Jepsen, and
Brian Keefe of Bridge Gap Engineering LLC, as well as John Kline of
Kline Consulting LLC.
