conducted with ease and setup times are minimised, as it
applies to Pamibro’s connected tuber.
For high sack quality, well-performed sack bottom
pressing is crucial. Here Pamibro’s two drum delivery is
in charge for intense pressing. It basically consists of belt
sections with two deviating drums and adjustable pressure
is applied to the shingled sack bottoms while they pass. At
the end of delivery, a shingle interrupter permits the flow
separation, in order to form sack packets upon a preset
number of sacks.
The automatic material flow system finally forwards
the sack packets from the bottomer to Pamibro’s
palletiser. Sack production without automatic palletising
is unthinkable for Pamibro, as the high output potentials
of the advanced bottomers need to be utilised. The design
of the palletiser has been tailored to the requirements of
paper sack production. Lightweight moveable components
enable high transport speeds and excellent accuracy of the
palletising operations, even when handling heavy packets.
In accordance with Pamibro’s bottomer and tuber size
change, adjustments are carried out automatically with
the palletiser. Stacking pattern can be changed during
production if necessary. Moreover, pre-defined patterns,
which are shown true to scale at the operator’s screen, offer
high operator convenience. The onscreen simulation of the
valve positions reveals potential thick spots at the stack, so
that the operator can optimise the pattern beforehand.
As stacking quality matters, the integrated sliding table
ensures that each layer is formed on a perfectly even
surface, while the already formed stack is pressed from the
bottom against the table.
Conclusion
Ten years on from its installation, the original paper
bag line is still running smoothly, due to the care and
maintenance provided by the company’s specialist team.
High productivity and quality have led to growth reaching
far beyond the Ukrainian borders. Bags made in Broshniv
are now being delivered to the company’s key markets
in Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Moldova, the Baltics, and
the Czech Republic, as well as growing ones, such as Italy,
Poland, and other European nations.
It was this continued rise in volumes that prompted
Prof. Shutak to invest in an additional W&H paper bag
line in 2016: “since spring 2017, we have had the two
W&H machines running alongside each another in one
impressive production hall (Figure 3). We are producing
high-quality paper bags almost around the clock.” For
Reinhard Elting Pamibro is something of a poster child
for the region: “W&H is proud to have a ‘lighthouse’ in
Ukraine with Pamibro. We look forward to continuing our
successful partnership in the years to come.”
