Bricking Solutions provided Ash Grove
Cement with an Ez Flexx50 Stepped Deck
Bricking Machine with a 4.3 m (14 ft)
4000 kg (8800 lb) work platform, designed for
a 16 ft 6 in. (5 m) size kiln with 220 mm brick.
The flexible arch allows for easy adjustments
inside the kiln for either minor kiln distortion,
or to accommodate conical sections or
ovality. The machine is assembled with pin
connections, and symmetrical part designs
allow assembly to be done without tools and in
under 2 hours.
Bath, Keystone Cement
FCT Combustion has been awarded a
contract to supply a Turbu-Jet burner to fire
100% natural gas, 100% coal and the use
of liquid wastes. The calciner burners are
designed to fire 100% natural gas and the
DDP calciner burner will burn liquid wastes
and natural gas. The scope of the project
also includes the valve trains and burner
management system.
Cape Girardeau, Buzzi Unicem USA
To improve the effective primary air momentum
in the existing M.A.S. burner, Cape Girardeau
plant ordered the upgrade to the latest fifth
generation nozzle head from Unitherm Cemcon.
The upgrade consists of a new set of nozzles
and M.A.S. hoses.
Clinton Plant, Texas Lehigh Cement Company
Texas Lehigh Cement Company has ordered
a new grinding plant to grind granulated blast
furnace slag (GBFS) and produce slag cement.
The new plant will include a KHD ball mill
system and is designed with future expansion
in mind. A future, Phase 2 project will add
a KHD Roller Press to the ball mill circuit to
increase capacity by more than double.
Fairborn Cement Company
Fives has supplied Fairborn Cement Company
with CFD modelling of its precalciner with a
view to firing natural gas.
Holcim Midlothian Cement Plant, LafargeHolcim
Bricking Solutions was chosen to supply the
Holcim Midlothian Cement Plant with a Custom
Kiln Access Ramp designed to support working
demolition equipment with a 6800 kg live load
capacity and a 3:1 safety factor. Heavy Duty
Fall Guards and Brokk Outrigger Matting
supports and protects the bridge during
demolition using a Brokk Machine. Each ramp
is custom designed using high grade 6061-T6
aluminium, and engineered to meet safety
standards.

Bricking Solutions supplied the plant with a
Burner Alignment Device with mounting fixture
and Kiln Laser Target.
Lehigh Cement Company
Bedeschi has been awarded an important
contract related to clay crushing and handling
by KHD, Lehigh Mitchell. Bedeschi is supplying
two complete crushing units composed of
an apron feeder and a double roller crusher,
then one blending stacking and reclaiming
longitudinal system for limestone, a clay apron
conveyor and a pipe conveyor for cement 700 m
long.

Lehigh Cement Union Bridge Plant, Heidelberg
Bricking Solutions supplied the Lehigh Cement
Union Bridge Plant with a Burner Alignment
Device with mounting fixture and Kiln Laser
Target. The Burner Alignment Device includes a
mounting fixture that attaches to the face of the
burner. A laser beam is then projected from the
mounting fixture into the kiln at a self-centring
target for quick and easy burner adjustments to
find the centre line of the kiln.
Louisville, Ash Grove Cement
FCT Combustion supplied two K-Jet calciner
burners to Ash Grove’s Louisville plant in
2019.
The plant also ordered a Ez Flexx50
Bricking machine with a 5.2 m long working
deck and a 6000 kg live load capacity from
Bricking Solutions, designed for 3.8 – 4.7 m
range.
