the project includes retrofitting the existing
feeding infrastructure as well as the cement
pneumatic transport into the existing storage
silos.
El Salvador
Cemento Regional, Grupo Industrial Monterrey
Cemengal was commisisoned for the supply
of one Plug&Grind Classic unit with a
production capacity of 90 000 tpy, a ball mill
Ø 2.2 x 9.0 m and 500 kW, and bag filter for
25 000 m³/h. The scope of supply includes
two new steel silos for cement storage and
containerised packing equipment.
Guatemala
Cementos Progreso, S.A.
Bricking Solutions supplied a Burner
Alignment Device with mounting fixture and
Kiln Laser Target for Cementos Progreso,
S.A. The Burner Alignment Device includes
a mounting fixture that attaches to the face
of the burner. A laser beam is then projected
from the mounting fixture into the kiln at a
self-centring target for quick and easy burner
adjustments to find the centre line of the kiln.
Honduras
Choloma plant, Argos
As part of its expansion and consolidation
strategy, Argos has introduced a new grinding
station in Choloma, Honduras.
The first stage of the grinding station was
opened in the third quarter of 2019 and has
a production capacity of 220 000 tpy. The
second phase, to be carried out in 2021, will
increase this capacity by a further 220 000 t.
The project is located on a field of around
4.5 ha. with direct access to one of the main
roads in the country. The project will allow
a high level of automation that will aid the
highly efficient production of bulk cement
and packaging as well as operation and
maintenance.
Panama
Cemento Bayano, CEMEX Panama
To improve the effective primary air momentum
in the existing M.A.S. burner, CEMEX ordered
the upgrade to the latest 5
th
generation
nozzle head. The upgrade consists of a
new set of nozzles, M.A.S. hoses and a
new Pneumo-Deflector nozzle for the solid
secondary fuel channel.
Planta Calzada Larga, CEMEX Panama
Bricking Solutions supplied a Custom Kiln
Access Ramp for Planta Calzada Larga,
designed to support working demolition
equipment with a 6800 kg live load capacity, a
3:1 safety factor and Heavy Duty Fall Guards.
Brokk Outrigger Matting supports and
protects the bridge during demolition using a
Brokk Machine.
Peru
Matarani, Cementos Prima
Cemengal was commissioned to supply one
Plug&Grind XL unit with a production capacity
of 220 000 tpy: ball mill Ø 3.0 x 9.5 m and
1100 kW bag filter for 50 000 m³/h. The
scope of supply includes equipment for raw
material transport from the client’s storage
halls, cement handling equipment for transfer
and steel storage silos as well as dispatching
facilities for cement bags.
Uruguay
Minas, Cementos Artigas
thyssenkrupp has installed a prepol
Step Combustor- Short (SC- S) at the Minas
plant.
With the implementation of a thyssenkrupp
prepol SC- S at an air through kiln line with
1500 tpd production capacity, the retention
time for the thermal utilisation of alternative
fuels can be significantly increased.
At Minas, a maximum substitution rate of
100% was reached with tyre chips at the riser
duct. Even with nearly double the original
installed feedrate, the kiln operation remained
nearly unchanged at a stable level. The
pyrolysis of the tyre chips takes place in the
prepol SC- S with no drop down of tyre chips
in kiln inlet detectable.
Larger sections of the system were
already assembled on ground level, and the
overall installation could be realised in less
than three weeks during an ordinary plant
shutdown.
Minas, Cementos Ancap
Cemengal has been commissioned for the
relocation of a Plug&Grind
®
mill unit at the
Minas plant, and an extension with a new
cement transport system to existing silos.
The scope of supply includes the revamping
of existing clinker storage hall at the Minas
Plant to fit the new dosing bins for the feeding
of Cemengal’s P&G modular mill, as well as
extension of electrical and automation equipment
at the P&G modular electrical room.
