About the authors
Dr Sean Monkman is the Vice President of Technology
Development for CarbonCure Technologies and has
served in this capacity since 2008. He oversees the
company’s research and intellectual property efforts.
Monkman holds a Doctoral degree in Civil Engineering
from McGill University. His career has included 25 years
working in concrete materials, including 14 years working
on CO
2
utilisation approaches.
John Kline, the principal of Kline Consulting, has over
40 Years in the mineral processing industry working in;
research, sales, plant design, engineering, commissioning,
and operations. He retired from Lafarge in June of
2012 after 21 years, with the last 18 years in various
international executive positions. Kline Consulting is
currently specialising in green building products, CO
2
reduction technologies, and environmental performance
improvement.
Dr Dave Frankman has been working at Sustainable
Energy Solutions for over 7 years. In that time he has been
instrumental in designing, constructing, and operating two
mobile versions of Cryogenic Carbon Capture.
Kirk Deadrick is a Civil Engineering graduate of Virginia
Military Institute. He has 33 years of concrete industry
experience split between 20 years working for concrete
companies and 13 years working in the admixture
sector. He is a past president of the Georgia Chapter of
the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and is a voting
member for ACI committees C211 (Proportioning), C237
(Self-Consolidating Concrete), and C305 (Hot Weather).
He is a Fellow in ACI. Currently, Deadrick is the Director
of Quality for Ready Mix in the US for Argos.
