Fives supplied a PILLARD NOVAFLAM kiln
burner, 42 MW, oil/RDF/petcoke and coal firing for
CIMENTS DE SIBLINE, which was delivered in Q4
2019 to equip line 1.
Liberia
CEMENCO
CEMENCO is launching a US$14 million cement
plant in Liberia, with capacity to produce 2000 bags
of cement. It is hoped that CEMENCO will begin to
see growth in the Liberian economy, due to a rise in
projects that will require cementitious products, such
as road and infrastructure projects. The new plant
will create a number of jobs.
Morocco
LafargeHolcim Maroc, LafargeHolcim
Bedeschi is in the process of supplying a belt
conveyor for LafargeHolcim Maroc. Following an
intense civil work phase, during which the single
trusses were pre-assembled and equipped with the
mechanical comports, the 4.3 km long distance belt
conveyor has started taking shape. The site team is
taking advantage of Trimble Connect to facilitate the
erection works. Bedeschi is heavily involved in the
project, designing, executing and delivering every
component.
The conveyor, with trusses of up to 5 t, has been
erected on a mountain using a suspended cableway.
The system, installed and operated by the Bedeschi
team with partner SEIK, allowed fast operations with
a high degree of safety.
Nigeria
Okpella Plant, Dangote Cement Plc.
Fives will supply three Hot Gas Generators type
Pillard HEATGEN Systems for the new Dangote kiln
line in Okpella.
Bricking Solutions will also supply an Ez Flexx50
Bricking machine with a 5.2 m long working deck
and a 6000 kg live load capacity, designed for a
5.2 m kiln.
Sokoto Cement Plant, Cement Company of
Northern Nigeria (BUA Group)
A new IKN Pendulum Cooler has already been
delivered to Nigeria and is ready for installation at the
Sokoto cement plant. This will be the 14
th
IKN clinker
cooler operating in Nigeria. The cooler is part of a
new 6000 tpd production line that is being installed
by CBMI Construction Co. Ltd. and is expected to
be finalised in 2020.
Oman
Vale Oman
Bricking Solutions provided a custom bedding cart
for Vale Oman’s 6.9 m kiln, with a 2720 kg load
capacity. The portable, aluminium rolling deck, with
ergonomic steps allows masons to bed the bottom
of the kiln up to the spring line with ease. The stairs
provide a more stable and ergonomic way to reach
the spring line, especially in larger kilns, removing the
need for springboards or other dangerous methods
to scale the side of the kiln.
Qatar
Qatar National Cement Company
QNCC required a reliable supplier for its air
cannons, to guarantee the smooth operation and
running of the process without any stoppage due
to build-up. In accordance with FCB, the company
has approved the Standard Industrie AIRCHOC
‘High Temperature’ system for the preheater and
cooler for new line number 5, considering the
success and reliability of the existing AIRCHOC at
lines 3 and 4.

YamamaCement, Yamama Cement Company
thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions AG has been
comissioned to supply a complete two cement
production line for YamamaCement, from crushing
plant to packing plant. This includes:

Yanbu Cement Company
Yanbu Cement Company (YCC) signed an
agreement in early 2020 for an efficiency upgrade,
focusing on reducing heat and power consumption.
With increased attention on sustainability in the
region, Yanbu, located 400 km north of Jeddah in
Saudi Arabia, has chosen FLSmidth to provide the
equipment and conduct the installation, projected
to bring significant reduction in heat and power
consumption. The project includes new top
cyclones, cooler modifications and the removal of old
ESP filters.
