increase its cleaning capacity and quality while
modulating its budget over a one-year investment
period.

plant for limestone with a 3000 tph capacity,
self-unloaded by vessel. The supply includes:

Cementownia Warta S.A., Dzialoszyn
Bricking Solutions has supplied the plant with an
Ez Flexx50 Stepped Deck Bricking machine with
a 5.2 m long working deck and a 6000 kg live
load capacity, designed for a 4 – 5 m range.
The flexible arch allows for easy adjustments
inside the kiln for either minor kiln distortion, or
to accommodate conical sections or ovality. The
machine is assembled with pin connections, and
symmetrical part designs allows assembly to
be done without tools and under two hours. All
components are modular and can fit through a
1 m x 1 m door.
Gorazdze Cement, HeidelbergCement
Fives has sold and commissioned its second
154 MW PILLARD NOVAFLAM KILN burner for
this plant, which is designed to burn 25 tph of
alternative solid fuel.
Kujawy, LafargeHolcim
In response to the growing market demand,
the Kujawy plant set the clear target for 2020:
increase daily clinker production rate by 4%.
A careful de-bottlenecking study analysis
showed that enlarging kiln bagfilter could be
a suitable option, as high differential pressure
generated by pulse-jet filter was restricting stack
fan capacity. However in mid 2019, a better
solution was chosen: replacement of filter bags
to new type low drag bags, offered by one of the
suppliers.
The fabric technology used in the new bags
(uniformity, fibre covering, weft, warp) guarantees
that differential pressure is kept at the required
16 mbar during 48 months of bagfilter operation.
Previous bags’ performance gradually decreased
over time, giving around 22 mbar dP at end of a
bag’s lifetime.
Replacement of all 5000 bags started in January
2020 during the plant’s winter kiln shutdown.
Field work carried out by the supplier and
supervised by the plant Project Manager took
around three weeks and were completed in time.
After kiln startup and the stabilisation phase,
stack fan power consumption seemed to be
low enough to sustain a higher production rate.
Eventually, the expected daily production rate was
reached on 28 February, and clinker production
since has been kept ca. 5% higher than the
like-for-like period from 2019.
Trzebinia, Gorka
FCT Combustion commissioned a
Gyro-Therm burner with automated control at the
Trzebinina plant, for a long wet kiln producing
high alumina and calcium aluminate clinker. The
target of the project was to improve control of the
thermal profile inside the kiln.

Loulé, CIMPOR (OYAK group)
Fives has supplied a Pillard Fuelsystem Heavy oil
installation for the plant.
Russia
Achinsk
Achinsk selected Unitherm for the supply of a
high-performance kiln burner with the patented
Mono Airduct System. The kiln burner is designed
for the combined firing of coal, gas, heavy fuel oil
and secondary fuels.
Asia Cement
After the installation of an M.A.S. Swirlgas
burner in 2017, Asia Cement awarded Unitherm
Cemcon with the delivery of two calciner burners.
