FCT Combustion commissioned two new
Turbu-Flex burners for the Heming plant in early
2020.
The Turbu-Flex burners were selected as the
best available technology to meet the targets of
improved alternative fuels firing in their Lepol
kilns. The scope included the burners, blowers,
accessories and spare parts.
LafargeHolcim Martres Tolosane, CBMI
Fives supplied liquid fuels valve skids for the new
LafargeHolcim pyro line in France. In addition a
complete spare Pillard NOVAFLAM burner will be
supplied.
Montalieu, Vicat
Fives will supply a Pillard PFZ satellite burner
system for injection of solid alternative fuels into
the kiln.
Usine de Martres plant, LafargeHolcim Ciments
With the aim of increasing the productivity
of its new plant in France, LafargeHolcim
has been investing in Martres Tolosane for
clinker and limestone facilities. The company
has awarded Bedeschi the supply of a
RECLAIMER PAL T 130/20+4 with a capacity
of 400 tph:

Villiers au Bouin, Ciments Calcia
Gorco has been selected for the improvement
of the existing dust collector for the cement mill
with the supply of a completely new 30 000 m

pulsejet filter and fan. The project is in turn-key
mode including disassembly, assembly and
insulation.

the kiln.

HeidelbergCement Georgia Ltd
Bricking Solutions supplied a custom Kiln
Access Ramp to the plant, designed to support
working demolition equipment with a 6800 kg live
load capacity, including a 3:1 safety factor and
Heavy Duty Fall Guards. BROKK OUTRIGGER
MATTING supports and protects the bridge
during demolition using a Brokk Machine. Each
ramp is custom designed using high grade
6061-T6 aluminium, and is engineered to meet
safety standards.

Burglengenfeld, Heidelberg Cement
FCT Combustion undertook a burner upgrade
for improved alternative fuels firing capabilities
alongside coal and petcoke. The upgraded burner
was commissioned in early 2020.
Geseke, Ennigerloh, Paderborn,
HeidelbergCement AG
HeidelbergCement decided to equip three of
its integrated cement plants in NW Germany
(Geseke, Ennigerloh, and Paderborn) with
thyssenkrupp’s polab Linea lab automation
systems in the same year.
The existing plant side hardware has been
upgraded to state-of-the-art PLC control systems
securing a long-term technological and spare
part supply. The lab side is equipped with brand
new non-robot polab Linea lab automation
systems including polab APM sample preparation,
material storage, particle sizers and colour
measurement.
AQCnet controls the system, communicates
with the analysers and supplies mix calculation for
raw mix and cement mills.
Opterra Karsdorf plant
A new filter system will reduce NO
X
at the
Opterra Karsdorf plant. With the commissioning
of the new emission control system at the
beginning of 2019, the significantly higher
emission limits required by law will all be met. In
total, OPTERRA invested
€
23 million in modern
catalytic converter technology in the eastern
German location.
Schelklingen Plant, Hz Schellingzer
Bricking Solutions supplied the plant with a
Custom Kiln Access Ramp, designed to support
working demolition equipment with a 13 000 kg
live load capacity with a 3:1 safety factor and
Heavy Duty Fall Guards. Brokk Outrigger
Matting supports and protects the bridge during
demolition using a Brokk Machine. Each ramp
is custom designed using high grade 6061-T6
aluminium, and engineered to meet safety
standards.
Werk Geseke, HeidelbergCement
Fives has sold a 101 MW PILLARD NOVAFLAM
kiln burner to this plant in order to burn lignite and
alternative fuels.
Werk Schelklingen Zementwerk,
HeidelbergCement AG
Fives has sold and commissioned a 80 MW
PILLARD NOVAFLAM kiln burner at this plant for
firing lignite and various alternative fuels.
