Oural Cement Plant, Votorantim Cimentos,

Cementos Cosmos

Dal Teknik Makina has conducted an audit to

analyse the alternative fuel burning efficiencies in

the calciner. Detailed measurements have been

taken from the calciner together with the preheater

cyclones, in order to simulate the existed inefficient

fuel feeding and gas flow conditions of the calciner.

With the measurement results and data taken

from the plant, several CFD analyses have been

developed for different fuel feeding points to figure

out the placement and angle for the most efficient

fuel burning.

Guided by the CFD analysis results and detailed

engineering of DTM, the alternative fuel burning

efficiency of Oural Cement Plant has been

increased.

Toral de los Vados Cement Plant, Votorantim

Cimentos – Cementos Cosmos

Dal Teknik Makina has conducted an audit to

figure out the bottlenecks of the pyroline together

with the raw mill unit, in order for the Toral de

los Vados Cement Plant to burn alternative fuels

without decreasing its production capacity.

After evaluating the current situation of the

plant, together with the measurement results and

documents given by the plant, Dal Teknik Makina

has prepared a detailed report pointing out the

needed improvements the plant has to carry out.

Tudela Veguin

Gorco was selected to carry out the substitution

of the existing old filter head at the Tudela plant

for nuisance applications.

The new filter includes the new cleaning system

injectors to adapt to the new technologies instead

of the old design.

Sweden

Oxelösund, Swecem AB

Gebr. Pfeiffer has been awarded a contract

for the supply and construction of a complete

granulated blast-furnace slag (GBFS) grinding

plant with a Gebr. Pfeiffer mill type MVR 2500

C-4. The plant is in Oxelösund, located on the

eastern coast of southern Sweden.

The new business partner is Swecem AB, part

of the Peab corporate group, one of northern

Europe’s leading construction companies.

Swecem AB operates in the field of cementitious

materials for concrete production and intends to

produce its own environmentally friendly cement.

The contract includes the supply and installation

from the top of the foundation up. It comprises

the complete process equipment, electrical

equipment and automation system as well as the

complete building on EPC basis.

The throughput of the Gebr. Pfeiffer mill type

MVR 2500 C-4 with its four equal-sized grinding

rollers and a table diameter of 2.5 m amounts

to 25 tph of slag powder (dry-base). The mill is

driven by an electric motor with 750 kW.

“Gebr. Pfeiffer’s core competences in grinding

technology and corresponding services are

constantly being improved and further developed.

In this instance, Gebr. Pfeiffer offers a service

agreement, starting from mechanical inspection

via process optimisation up to replacement of

main wear parts,” said Ludwig Zetterström, CEO

of Swecem AB.

LafargeHolcim Untervaz

Holcim Untervaz is one of the original plants of the

Holcim Group, which became the world leader in

cement with the Lafarge/Holcim merger.

Standard Industrie had already supplied

AIRCHOC air canons to this customer for their

preheating tower. This site required attention

concerning its productivity and therefore
