EUROPE AND CIS

The calciner burners with a thermal capacity of

35 MW each are designed for 100% natural gas

firing.

Atomstroykompleks Cement, Russia

To fire solid secondary fuel in the rotary kiln,

Unitherm supplied a combined M.A.S./3/EG.X

burner for the firing of natural gas and solid

secondary fuel. Additional equipment included a

new primary air fan, heat resistant lining, flame

monitoring and an ignition burner.

Cesla plant, HeidelbergCement Russia

To start the operation of natural gas, Cesla

purchased a natural gas valve train with burner

management system for the existing Unitherm

M.A.S. burner.

Greenfield cement project, ASK Cement

Russian construction company, ASK Cement,

is building a cement plant on a green field near

Yekaterinburg in the Ural region.

AUMUND Fördertechnik GmbH is involved

in the implementation of this greenfield project,

currently the only one of its kind in Russia.

Greenfield projects like this one at ASK Cement

are rare, as new cement lines are usually only

built adjacent to existing plants.

AUMUND developed the concept for the

complete clinker conveying package at the plant,

together with ASK Cement and its long-time

engineering partner, the Sibniiproject Cement

Design Institute in Novosibirsk.

The concept comprises transportation of clinker

from the kiln to the clinker silo, which has five

discharge channels, as well as onward conveying

to the cement mills.

AUMUND is supplying Pan Conveyors type

KZB and type KZB-Q (with baffles), Bucket

Apron Conveyors type BZB, Clinker Silo

Discharge Gates type SDG and various chutes.

Intercem has also ordered AUMUND Chain

Bucket Elevators type BWZ for mill circulation

and AUMUND Belt Bucket Elevators type BWG-L

for cement silo feeding for the project. Delivery of

the equipment is planned for the end of the first

quarter of 2020.

Krasnoyarsk Cement Plant, Sibirsky Cement

Due to more rigorous emission regulations, kiln

line no. 5 in Krasnoyarsk Cement Plant was

modernised from a direct fired ball mill – burner

system to an indirect fired system with the

following modifications:

f

Coal dust collection filter.

f

Modification of the existing intermediate coal

dust hopper to coal dust silos.

f

Coal dosing system with pneumatic

conveying.

f

KHD PYROJET kiln burner system with new

burner carriage from KHD.

f

KHD Failsafe Burner Management System

with proprietary KHD control programme.

f

Startup firing system with proprietary KHD

valve train for diesel.

f

KHD Kiln outlet with KHD kiln sealing system.

f

Kiln inlet gas analyser.

The re-starting of the kiln system followed the

schedule and stable production was achieved

within a short time. The operation results showed

increased production capacity (+3%), reduced

heat demand (-1,3%) and reduced NO

x

content in

waste gas (-51.2%).

Pikalevsky Cement enterprise

Eurocement Group Holding has

completed a large-scale investment at the

Pikalevsky Cement enterprise, under the

agreement on socio-economic cooperation with

the government of the Leningrad region.

A modernisation of the grinding department was

carried out, which made it possible to improve

the quality of products, increase the stability of its

characteristics, and expand the range as a result

of high quality and additional cements. Investment

in the project amounted to RUB150 million.

The upgraded grinding department uses

equipment from leading Western manufacturers:

KHD, Aumund, and Siemens. The plant

employees have mastered the skill of working with

new equipment and apply the best practices in

production.

Modernisation was carried out without

stopping the existing lines in order to meet the

needs of the market in the current construction

season.

Sebryakovcement JSC

Sebryakovcement JSC placed an order with

IBAU Hamburg for the engineering of four new

cement silos with inverted cones, including bulk

loading into railway wagons and trucks.

Serbia

Titan Cementara Kosjeric d.o.o.

Bricking Solutions supplied a 20 in. wide

by 110 ft long Hydraulic Conveyor to

Titan Cementara Kosjeric d.o.o.

The conveyor has a 907 kg capacity at 45 m

per minute and transports refractory and materials

in and out of the kiln.

The system is designed with heavy-duty

aluminium for sections that are as light as 16 kg

(35 lbs), which allows for easy handling. This,

paired with the conveyor’s modular design,

ensures transport and setup is fast and easy.
