In January 2020, the third IKN Pendulum cooler
was commissioned and started its production
at Lucky Cement’s new 7500 tpd kiln line, built
by Sinoma. Fine tuning of the line including
optimising the parameters of the cooler allowed
it to operate at up to 7800 tpd.
The cooler consists of a single grate
with two hydraulic cylinders driven by a
frequency-controlled pair of hydraulic pumps
(plus one in stand-by). At the cooler end, an
IKN Roll Crusher handles bigger clinker and
coating. The cooler will feature a WHR system
fed by a mid-air take-off to produce power from
the energy in the cooler excess air.

Bricking Solutions supplied Pioneer Cement
with an Ez Flexx50 Bricking Machine with a
4.3 m (14 ft) 4000 kg (8800 lb) work platform,
designed for a 5.4 m kiln with 220 mm brick.

Philippines
Ángeles, Big Boss Cement
Cemengal has been chosen to supply one
Plug&Grind XTREME unit with a production
capacity of 350 000 tpy and ball mill
Ø 3.2 x 11.5 m and 1600 kW to the Ángeles
plant, as well as a XP4i separator for production
of high Blaine cements. The cope of supply
includes engineering for raw material storage
hall and finish product storage hall, supply of
two steel storage silos as well as equipment for
cement handling equipment and an eight-spout
packing machine with loading system.
CEMEX Phillipines, CEMEX
Gebr. Pfeiffer will supply an MVR mill for
cement raw material grinding in the Philippines.
The contract is for a CEMEX plant in the
Antipolo region and includes the supply of an
MPS mill for the grinding of coal.
The order was received through a Chinese
general contractor.
Illigan cement mill upgrade, CRH
The commissioning of the CRH Illigan
grinding upgrade was completed when
the existing ball mill of 3.8 m x 10.5 m
was upgraded to an RP20-170/180
by Humboldt Wedag India to achieve
production of 190 tph at 3500 Blaine.
This is an important upgrade for CRH
group where production had been limited
to 65 tph at 3400 Blaine only. Another
new unit of CRH group in Bulacan has
been commissioned, which was a new
grinding unit of 180 tph at 3600 Blaine
wherein an RP20-170/180 with a ball mill of
3.8 m x 10.5 m in semi finish mode.

Miguel Northern Cement Inc
Fives supplied complete firing equipment for
the new 5000 tpd kiln line encompassing a
Pillard NOVAFLAM burner for the rotary kiln,
Pillard PRECAFLAM burners for the calciner,
the relevant valve skids for oil and Pillard
STAPILDOS dosing/feeding systems for
pulverised fuel.
Philcement Bataan, Phinma group
Philcement needed a Standard Industrie GAD
vacuum cleaner to clean the conditioning area
of the factory as well as that of the conveyor of
the port terminal.
The objective of this installation, scheduled
for June 2020, was to clean up the areas
mentioned above with the possibility to recycle
the product and thus reduce the plant’s net
production losses.
This is a challenge for this plant which
generates a production of 2 million tpy.
Indeed, this customer has developed a
high level of automation and has great
environmental ambitions.
Tagbac Barangay,
Rizal Cement Company Inc., CEMEX
The Loesche vertical roller mill of the type
LM 56.3+3 C was originally delivered in
2008 to CEMEX Tepeaca plant (Mexico).
It will now be moved to the Philippines.
Loesche’s main contractor is SINOMA CBMI.
The mill is designed to produce several types
of cement.
This project began with detailed analyses
of the available parts, some of them partially
assembled. New mechanical parts have been
supplied to complete the project, such as
a new hydraulic system, PLC cabinet and
process instrumentation.
The cooperation between teams of the
different stakeholders at CEMEX, CBMI and
Loesche has been an example of successful
global engineering.
