used to grind PPC and OPC.

Pune, Shree Cement Ltd.

The Kolkata-based company, Shree Cement,

has placed an order for a cement mill

from Gebr. Pfeiffer.

As part of the company’s expansion strategy

to spread grinding plants across the whole of

India, Shree Cement will now equip a grinding

plant near Pune in the state of Maharashtra

with a Pfeiffer mill.

For the grinding of clinker and extenders,

cement mills of the type MVR 6000 C-6 are

used in the cement plants and stand-alone

grinding units of Shree Cement. The company

successfully operates this type of mill at

various locations.

The planned plant for cement grinding,

using the MVR 6000 C-6, is to alternately

produce 300 tph of Ordinary Portland

Cement (OPC) at a product fineness of

3100 cm²/g acc. to Blaine or 300 tph of

Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC) containing

as much as 35% of fly ash at a product

fineness of 3500 cm²/g acc. to Blaine or

180 tph of ground granulated blast-furnace

slag (GGBFS) at a product fineness of

4500 cm²/g acc. to Blaine. The mill will come

equipped with a 6700-kW drive.

While Gebr. Pfeiffer SE will supply the core

components of the mill and the gear unit from

Europe, its Indian subsidiary, headquartered

in Noida, Gebr. Pfeiffer (India) Pvt. Ltd., will

provide the components such as the housing

of the mill and classifier, the steel foundation

parts as well as the internal parts of the

classifier. In addition, the Indian subsidiary

will design the plant layout and advise the

customer on the equipment he will procure on

his own.

Erection and startup of plant is delayed due

to local regulations due to Covid-19.

Salem, Tamil Nadu, JSW Cement Ltd

JSW has ordered a 90 tph grinding unit for

Salem, Tamil Nadu from Humboldt Wedag

India. The major equipment will include an

RP 16-170/180 running in finish mode with

SKS VC 4000 & VS 96/22.

Satguru Cement

Humboldt Wedag India is involved in a

project for Satguru Cement covering the

supply of equipment for materials handling,

raw materials grinding, pyroprocessing, coal

grinding and cement grinding. The major

equipment supplied will include:

RP 13-170/140 with SKS LC 3500 &

VS 80/18 for 230 tph raw material grinding.

RP 13-170/140 with existing mill of

2.8 x 7 m for 145 tph OPC grinding.

For 2200 tpd Pyroprocess, the major

pieces of equipment are PH 68HE52,

Kiln Dia of 3.8 x 54 m long and a KHD

Pyrostep cooler of 63 m

Surat Clinker, Sanghi Industries Limited

Loesche will deliver vertical roller mills of the

type LM 56.3+3 CS. The mill with a capacity

up to 290 tph will be used to grind PPC2 and

PPC3.

Tamil Nadu carbon capture facility, Dalmia

Cement (Bharat) Ltd.

Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd, a leading

Indian cement major and subsidiary of

Dalmia Bharat Ltd, has announced that it will

build a large-scale 500 000 tpy carbon capture

facility at its cement plant in Tamil Nadu,

India. As part of this, the company has signed

a memorandum of understanding with Carbon

Clean Solutions Ltd UK (CCSL), a leader in

low-cost CO

2

separation technology, which will

provide technology and operational services

for the plant, based on its patented CDRMax

Technology.

Various locations, JSW Cement Ltd

In 2015 JSW ordered 16 Roller Presses

for HWIndia for their spilt grinding units at

various locations. 14 Roller Presses are

currently in operation. Out of these 14, 9

were in operation before 2019 and 5 were

commissioned and carried out with PG Test

last year.

With these installations, a total 21 of Roller

Presses are operating in JSW group.

Vizag Grinding Unit Project, Chettinad Cement

Corporations Private Limited

Gebr. Pfeiffer succeeded in winning a

contract for a granulated blast-furnace slag

and blast-furnace cement grinding plant for

Chettinad Cement Corp. Pvt. Ltd., which

will be set up near the steel works town of

Visakapatnam.

The grinding plant now sold will be

producing mixed cements with different

proportions of clinker, gypsum, fly ash,
