For raw material grinding, the most popular

model of Roller Press RP16-170/180 is

being provided in combination with two

identical circuits producing a total of 760 tph

of raw meal @2%R on 90 micron. The pyro

package consists of Preheater size 95HE81

with Pyro redox for curbing the NO

and kiln of 5.6 m x 85 m.

ACC/Holcim has focused on the best

technology with cost optimisation for this

project and found lot of merits in KHD

Technology in terms of raw material grinding

and the KHD Latest generation Pyro System

ensuring low pressure drop, meeting stringent

environment norms with respect to NO

, and

being well suited for WHRS.

Belgaum Cement, Dalmia (Bharat) Cement Ltd.

Belgaum Cement is currently in the process of

upgrading its pyroprocess system to improve

operational efficiency, and to reduce sp.

heat consumption by 15 kcal/kg clinker and

0.8 kWh/t clinker sp. power consumption. After

implementation of the proposed modifications,

clinker production is expected to increase from

5450 tpd to 5900 tpd.

Birla New Chanderia Cement Works, MP Birla

Corporation Ltd.

Through Humboldt Wedag India,

Birla New Chanderia Cement Works is

currently undergoing a raw grinding system

capacity enhancement from 350 tph to 465 tph

at 16% residue on 90 micron by conversion

of existing Comflex-D (Double) grinding plant

into 2 x Comflex-S (Single) systems, installation

of new SKS dynamic separator with product

collection cyclones and circulating fan for RP-2

circuit, and conversion of existing mono drive to

twin drive arrangement in RP-2.

Cuttack, Ultratech Cement Ltd

Ultratech Cement Ltd. has opted for the latest

MVR mill technology from Gebr. Pfeiffer.

17 MVR mills of the type MVR 6000 C-6 will

soon be producing in India alone.

This order is the first ever direct deal between

Ultratech and Gebr. Pfeiffer, although Pfeiffer

vertical roller mills do form part of the standard

equipment of this Indian cement manufacturer.

Ultratech Cement Ltd. already owns many

Pfeiffer mills for grinding cement, coal and raw

material, including an MVR mill with MultiDrive

for cement grinding.

The MVR 6000 C-6 enables the customer to

act flexibly and grind not only 225 tph of pure

granulated blast furnace slag but also a wide

variety of mixed cements with capacities of as

much as 370 tph. For maintenance purposes,

two opposing rollers of the six active grinding

rollers of equal size can be swung out. This

ensures that the grinding operation can

continue even during maintenance.

As is usual when it comes to orders

placed in India, the order will be handled in

close cooperation between Gebr. Pfeiffer’s

headquarters in Kaiserslautern, Germany, and

Pfeiffer’s Indian subsidiary, Gebr. Pfeiffer (India)

Pvt. Ltd., based in Noida.

The commissioning of the mill, for which

Gebr. Pfeiffer will delegate supervisory

personnel to the customer, is scheduled for

spring 2021.

Dalmia DSP (Unit-I)

Bricking Solutions was commissioned to

supply a Ez Flexx50 Bricking Machine with a

4.3 m (14 ft) 4000 kg (8800 lb) work platform,

designed for a 3.8 – 5 m range with 220 mm

brick.

The flexible arch allows for easy adjustments

inside the kiln for either minor kiln distortion, or

to accommodate conical sections or ovality. The

machine is assembled with pin connections,

and symmetrical part designs allow assembly

without tools and in under two hours. All

components are modular and can fit through a

1 m x 1 m door.

Dankuni and Patna, Ultratech Cement Ltd, slag

grinding unit

UltraTech has ordered two identical

slag grinding units of 92 tph from

Humboldt Wedag India, for Patliputra and

Dankuni. Major equipment for the supply

includes a RP 17-170/180 running in finish

mode with SKS VC 3500 & VS 80/20.

Dhachepally, Chettinad Cement Ltd
